Privacy Policy

Answity (“Answity”, “we”) runs an AI visibility tracker: you tell us about a business, we ask AI assistants questions your customers ask, and we report what they answered. This page explains what data that involves.

What we collect

What you type into a check. Business name, city, and optionally a website address. On the free check that is all we need, and we do not require an account to run one.

Account data, if you create one: email address, password hash, plan, and the locations and prompts you set up for tracking.

Scan results. The answers the engines returned, whether a business was named, which competitors appeared, and which sources each answer cited. This is data we generate, and we keep it so you have history to compare against.

Basic usage data. Pages viewed, checks run, rough location derived from IP for regional accuracy, browser and device type.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect data about your customers. Answity queries public AI assistants about a business; it never touches your CRM, inbox, or customer records.
• We do not buy or sell personal data, and we do not sell any of the above to anyone.
• We do not store full card numbers. Payments are handled by a payment processor that never passes card details to us.

How we use it

• To run the checks you ask for and build the prompt set for a location.
• To re-scan on schedule and email you when your visibility changes.
• To bill paid plans and provide support.
• To improve accuracy in aggregate. Where we study results to make scoring better, we work with aggregated data, not with your account picked out by name.

Who else sees the data

Running a check means sending a prompt to third-party AI providers. Those prompts contain the business name and city being checked, which are public business details, not personal information about you.

We also use service providers for:

• hosting and infrastructure;
• payment processing;
• transactional and alert email;
• product analytics.

Each one gets only what it needs to do its job, and none of them get rights to use your data for their own purposes.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to measure how the site is used. You can block them in your browser; the signed-in parts of the product will not work without the session cookie.

How long we keep things

• Free checks: results are kept briefly so you can reopen the page, then discarded.
• Tracked locations: scan history is kept for as long as the account is active, because history is the product.
• Closed accounts: deleted within 30 days, except records we are required to keep for tax and accounting.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have these rights by law; we extend them to everyone regardless. Write to info@answity.com and we will act within 30 days.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to the people who need it to run the service, and we use a payment processor precisely so that card data never lands on our systems. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects your data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will email account holders before it takes effect and update the date at the top of this page.
